The Challenge

We were approached by Rendition Developments and CBRE to develop a brand for one of their new commercial project in Mount Pleasant. The client, being heavily involved in Vancouver Historic Society, asked me to link the history of Mount Pleasant to the project, while also creating a brand that would stand out from all of the other commercial developments in the area.

The Solution

The team and I started by developing a full brand manifesto, name and personality for Beltline.  My focus was on the historic importance of the “Beltline Street Cars” and the impact they had in the development of Mount Pleasant.

From there we developed the content, print marketing materials, signage and the website.

Because this building was for lease and not strata sale, We were able to market it to a broader crowd and turned our focus onto smaller business owners who were drawn to the community and amenity rich area.  The proximity to West Broadway lent a hand in naming the building, while the rich history played a part in the look and feel of the brand.
